About Mishki

Peru is a country rich in natural resources. Its biodiversity offers immense possibilities thanks to the many plants with exceptional health, nutritional and even cosmetic properties. Yana Cosmetics aims not only to develop cosmetics made from Peru’s native plant resources, but also to improve the quality of life of the families who grow them while protecting biodiversity and the environment.

Yana Cosmetics was born in Huancayo in December 2004, during a workshop on the Solanum tuberosum species. Inspired by biodiversity and the drive for development, the idea emerged to formulate facial beauty creams from native Peruvian organic natural products.

This vision was consolidated through an alliance with communities and farmers from across the country to establish a reliable supply of raw materials, together with scientific research carried out with the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and the support of Universidad Agraria La Molina.

Yana Cosmetics created Mishki, a cream brand inspired by a Quechua word meaning sweet, whose sound is pleasantly poetic not only for Quechua speakers but for everyone.
